Plot

The film begins with Deva (Prathamesh Parab) working as a broker for an estate agent named Kaka (Milind Pathak). He meets Amruta (Mitali Mayekar), the daughter of a rich businessman named Mr. Deshmukh (Kavita Lad Medhekar), who wants to buy a flat in Mumbai. Deva is smitten by Amruta's beauty and tries to impress her by showing her various flats. He also lies to her that he is an architect and has designed some of the buildings. Meanwhile, Kaka gets a call from a mysterious man named Bhai (Upendra Limaye), who offers him a huge amount of money to sell a flat in a building called Urfi. Kaka agrees and asks Deva to show the flat to Bhai's men. Deva takes Amruta along with him to the flat, where he proposes to her with a ring that he had stolen from Mr. Deshmukh's house. However, they are unaware that the flat is rigged with explosives and Bhai is planning to blow up the building as part of his revenge against Mr. Deshmukh, who had betrayed him in the past.

Will Deva be able to rescue Amruta and stop Bhai's evil plan? Watch Urfi to find out.

Review

Urfi is a film that tries to mix romance, comedy, thriller, and action genres, but fails to deliver on any of them. The film suffers from a weak script, poor direction, illogical twists, and cliched dialogues. The film also lacks originality and borrows heavily from Bollywood films like Ghajini, Ek Villain, and Aashiqui 2.

The film's biggest flaw is its inconsistency in tone and pace. The first half of the film is light-hearted and humorous, while the second half turns dark and violent. The film also drags on for too long and loses its grip on the audience's attention. The film's climax is predictable and unconvincing.

The film's only saving grace is its music by Chinar-Mahesh, who have composed some catchy songs like Dhanak Dhanak, Yaar Bas Tu, and O Maria. The songs are well-sung by Siddharth Mahadevan, Aanandi Joshi, Rishikesh Kamekar, and Harshavardhan Wavare.

The film's performances are also mediocre and fail to impress. Prathamesh Parab, who had impressed in films like Timepass and Balak Palak, looks out of place in this film. He tries too hard to act cool and funny, but ends up being annoying and irritating. Mitali Mayekar, who makes her debut with this film, is pretty but has nothing much to do except look scared and cry. Upendra Limaye, who plays the villain, is wasted in a poorly written role that lacks depth and motive.

Overall, Urfi is a disappointing film that fails to entertain or thrill the audience. It is a film that can be easily skipped and forgotten.
